It has been quite some time since I've shared anything on here! You might be wondering why do I even bother having a blog.
Well, I guess there comes a time when one busy fairy like me, must share some news. Important news.
It is with sadness, but no regrets that I have decided to retire my photography career. Specifically weddings.
I've been a wedding photographer since 2006. Almost immediately after graduating from college in 2005. I was a full time photographer since 2006 up until 2012 when I found a full time job in an office.
I enjoyed shooting every wedding. Every couple was different and had a beautiful story and I was so lucky to be there to capture such a wonderful milestone in a couple's life. I will never regret it, but I will always cherish these moments that I carefully captured. I probably captured about 150 weddings during this time, including 2nd shooting.
Unfortunately having a full time job and shooting 10 weddings a year is not as easy as it sounds. It's definitely possible, but it's very stressful. 2018 was quite stressful to me and there were other factors that came in hand, as well as career discoveries that lead me to make this decision.
I'm not completely retiring photography. I am till open and hoping to photograph more family portraits, headshots, and also continuing to help my wedding photographer friends as a 2nd shooter sometimes. 2nd shooting is a lot more laid back, as I only show up with my two cameras and gear to shoot for 10 hours, then I merely send the files to the photographer.
So here it comes...I retire my wedding photo business. For all my clients who hired me, thank you. Thank you so much for the opportunity, for trusting me, for having me photograph you on your very special day <3
Much love and peace,
